These Terms and Conditions govern the relationships between the supplier of translation services Ekvinokcium s.r.o. (hereafter “the Agency”) and the customer (hereafter “the Client”).
Texts for translation can be delivered to the Agency by email or via a post service. The order is valid after confirmation by the Agency.
The completed translation will be delivered on the term agreed between the Agency and the Client. The rates set in the price list apply for translations in standard deadline, i.e. more than 3 days and less than 2500 words per day. Express translations are subject to surcharges, because these translations are more demanding for human resources. In the case that the Agency does not deliver the translation within the agreed deadline, the Client is entitled to discount a 5% for every day of delay, if not arranged otherwise, to a maximum of 100%. The translation will be delivered with substantially the same layout as the one of the source text in the case of editable formats, or in the .doc format (MS Word) with the basic layout substantially similar to the source text in the case of non-editable formats (i.e. pdf, fax, jpg, tiff etc.) The Agency and the Clients can agree on different layout and/or target text format.
Our rates are all inclusive – that means they include not only the translation alone, but also ancillary activities focused to achieve maximmum quality, mainly, but not limited to, glossary preparation, consultations with the Client or external expert (if required), checking, proofreading, and formatting.
If the Client decides to cancel his order after the work has begun, the Agency has the right to request payment for already completed part of the translation. The Agency has the right to cancel the confirmed translation if the requirements of the Client will substantially change or if unexpected difficulties will occur. The second option is limited with 12 hours after the order confirmation.
Invoices are issued after translation completion with payment period of two weeks, if not agreed otherwise. In case of large-scale translations, the Agency has the right to require an advance payment, generally in maximum amount of 30% of the total price.
The Agency offers an unlimited guaranty for all translations. The guaranty applies on all errors, faults and defects in translated target text, but does not include minor changes of style, wording or layout. In the first case, the Client is entitled to an immediate corrective action and appropriate discount up to the total price of translation. The guaranty never expires.
These terms and conditions are valid from November 12, 2006 and can be modified by the Agency without prior notice. For already accepted orders, the terms and condition are determined by the day of order confirmation.
